As a child my brother and I grew up in a family of outdoorsman and we too would later raise our families around the lifestyle. 

 

As we grew and began families of our own, we raised our families in the same way, but as families grow so did the costs of traveling and exploring. Even though this did not stop us from our family adventures it did not sit well with us that future generations of families including our own would face even more trying times than we had. 

 

So we sought out to create a place at our Home of Lake Meredith. We traveled the country from the Border of Canada to the tip of Florida staying at Cabins/Rv parks across the nation looking for inspiration. After 8 years of planning and design we decided to pull the trigger as our children are grown or near grown and we had the time to pour our heart and sole into this project.

Our family was one of the first families to build in the adjacent neighborhood of Vinson Development in the early 80’s with only a few homes in Vinson Development. As a child my brother and I would ride our 4-wheeler in the mesquite covered cow pasture that is now Meredith Mike’s Oasis. We grew up here in Fritch, at the Lake, River, and surrounding area exploring, hunting, and adventure seeking from an early age, well before the improved hiking trails or paved roads that surround the Lake today. As my brother and I began families of our own we found it difficult to find affordable places to stay for the 8 of us at a rate young families could afford. This is the reason as to why our cabins sleep 8, we want families to be able rent a place that doesn’t have hidden fees such as parking, resort fees, additional person costs etc. our cabins are designed to accommodate all. 

 

We also found ourselves struggling to find places that offered Cabins and RV spots for those groups who do not all own RVs or for those that would rather take their own RV and still vacation with friends and family who do not own one. This way all can stay in close proximity to one another. 

 

With every decision we make with Meredith Mike's we first weigh heavily on how it will benefit our beloved community. 

 

With that every piece of work or service contract Meredith Mike’s has was first sourced locally or within our network of family and friends. 

 

We are about growing businesses through community not only with ours, but other businesses in the area.
